What sort of exercises that can help me lose belly and arm fat quickly?

Q. well the thing is i can't avoid eating fruits and white bread and all that because my parents are so stubborn and they make me eat all those things your not meant to eat when your on a diet. (except for junk food like chocolates and stuff). and i don't have a treadmill or exercise bike at home so i can't exercise on that and my parents say they don't have ANY time to take me to the gym or swimming and all.so I'm trying to find out a way to exercise without using any equipment. i want to lose my belly fat, arm fat and my face is really kind of puffy especially the cheeks. how can i lose them all quickly?
do i just walk around the house? because my parents don't let me walk around on the streets by myself cos they don't have time to take me. and do i walk at a steady pace or fast?
but doesn't fruits make you gain weight?

Okay...I only started two Mondays ago and All I do is walk one hour every morning. I wear a calorie counter monitor to loose weight by the numbers. I have already lost one pant size and 10 pounds. I am a woman and have three kids and this is the method I use when I gain weight.. I am now at a size two and everyone is always amazed that I have had three kids. This is what I do below when I throw on a few extra pounds. It always works..No diet pills, no energy drinks..just me walking and getting the water I need. Of course I watch what I eat and the Lean Cuisine meals are great for that since the calories per box are 180 to 380 per box. Just make sure you eat healthy every three to four hours so your body will perform at its max.

1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127

2) Most people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.

How much weight could I lose a week by eating salad and exercising 2 1/2 to 3 hrs a day?

My plan is to eat salad only with lots of veggies and occaisionally some boneless skinless chicken for protein. I will also be going to the gym after work for about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs and working primarily on eliptical trainers, treadmill, exercise bikes, and the occaisional strength building exercises for my mid-section. Does anyone know an estimation of how the weight will begin to come off. Currently I'm a 22 yr old female and weigh apprx. 185 lbs. Thanks in advance.

Damn! lol Iâm bout to do that same diet, I wish you the best of luck.. I did that diet routine about a year 6 months ago, and I lost a good 25lbs in a month.. but remember your body burns 12 Calories a pound, and it takes 3,500 calories to burn one pound of fat. I would say at the gym burn at least 750 a day!

I am 155 lbs and 5 ft 4 in. I am lightly active. I do housework, play with my 2 year old, but I do have a desk job. And I use my exercise bike almost every day for at least 15 min. How many calories should I eat per day and how many am I burning? I am 20 years old. I would like to lose about 35 lbs (be 120 lb). I would like to lose between 2-3 lbs per week.
And how much more exercise should I be doing?



Answer
You need roughly 1,800 calories per day to maintain your current weight. If you want to lose two pounds per week, you need a 1,000-calorie deficit every day, and you can't do that by cutting your diet because you'll starve yourself. When that happens, your metabolism slows down and your body greedily hangs on to every last bit of body fat that you have. Not good.

Here are some tips:

1. Try getting that 1,000 calorie deficit by eating 1,500 to 1,600 calories per day and doing enough exercise to burn 700 to 800 calories per day. 40 minutes of cardio will burn darn close to 800 calories.

2. Eat breakfast within an hour of waking up every day -- people who don't are 450% more likely to be overweight.

3. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three square meals per day or one large meal per day. Eating smaller portions more often ramps up your metabolism.

4. Try to get at least 25g of fiber into your diet per day. Best sources are: Apples, beans/legumes, dried fruit, nuts, and whole grain breads/cereals/pasta.

5. Olive oil is a natural appetite suppressant, and it's very good for you. Try taking a tablespoonful three times a day, say, half an hour before meals.

6. Avoid fast food, junk food, soft drinks, and the four deadly C's (cookies, cakes, candy and chips) as much as possible.

7. Build your diet around the "good for you" stuff like eggs, nuts, lean meats, lowfat or nonfat dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables, and those whole grains.

8. Allow yourself one "cheat meal" per week where you can eat or drink whatever you want as long as you don't stuff. That'll help keep you from feeling deprived of all those things that are really bad for you but taste so good.

How long to use exercise bike?

I am in my 20's, 200 pounds & 5'8. I need to lose 50 pounds to be in the middle of my "healthy range."

I purchased an exercise bike. I want to ride 6 days a week. How many miles should I do each day? I am also cutting calories by 500 a day.

I can't go by the calories lost on the machine, I can't program my weight. I know I'm losing more than it says I am. (I doubt they program it for a 200 pound person ;) )

You can get a good cardio workout in as little as a 1/2 hour at a good pace. As for loosing 50 lbs, forget about Acai, or any weight loss program or supplement that costs money or has a sales pitch to it. Next time you shop, don't buy ANYTHING with wheat, dairy, or sugar ( especially corn syrup) Don't use the fake chemical sweeteners to make up for the lack of sweetness either. You'll be surprised how few foods there are to choose from, well processed foods. Don't eat anything that has been packaged or canned. It pretty much leaves you with fresh vegetables, fresh meat, fresh eggs, and fresh fruit, and nuts and nut butters. Get organic everything as much as possible so your body can work on getting slimmer and not on trying to filter out pesticides and chemical fertilizers. You'll be doing what is called "perimeter shopping, which is buying food from the outer sections of the store, meat, dairy, and produce. try it for 6 weeks and see if it doesn't get you toward your goal quicker and safer than all those sales pitch items that have been hawked to people since the mid 1800s, sames sales pitch, different product, same results- nothing but an empty wallet ( purse) Good luck , it just takes self discipline to get over old habits. And don't cheat on yourself, stick with it for six weeks!
