recumbent exercise bike muscles image
Killrune
I just got a recumbent exercise bike about two weeks ago. I go on it every day for 45 minutes and burn around 500 calories. Before i got it i didn't really eat right and i was kind of chubby. Now after 2 weeks of exercise i'm eating the same exact things but my stomach is bigger than before.

Ok, so a couple things that I can see are happening here:
1. You're eating same as before. Well, this diet got you chubby in the first place, so it probably isn't going to help you get fit. You will need to permanently change your eating habits to promote a healthier lifestyle (tons of fruits and veggies, whole grains, healthy fats and protein)
2. You could be building abdominal muscle, but because you haven't changed your diet, you are not burning enough fat. As a result, the new muscle is pushing the fat out instead of burning it away.
Keep up the exercise! If you are planning on losing weight, you will really need to commit to it and overhaul your lifestyle... that includes weight training, cardio and a healthy diet. No more junk food! If it isn't going to do your body good, don't eat it.

What kind of exercise machine do u recommend?
~Noodles~
treadmill, elliptical, exercise bike, or those recumbent bikes?
what r the benefits/disadvanatges to them?
Answer
I would personally recommend an elliptical machine. It works some really core muscles (thighs, butt, abdomen, calves, etc), and gives a great cardio workout. Get one with the option to work the arm muscles too, then you'll cover alot more.
