stationary bike 90 minutes a day image
answers!-h
I started gymming recently and yesterday was my first day on the stationary bike. I think my average speed was around 70rpm, I did few short 30- 60 second sprints of 90-100 rpm and then on average speed and cooled down in between. the meter showed 5.5.km for the 18 minutes I was there. I enjoyed this workout the most, but don't know what speed I should cycle at and for what time. Also, does cycling just help you strengthen your leg/thigh muscles only? I am going to continue cycling for sure but I also want a workout which helps reduce waistline and some workout for the upper torso in general. Any recommendations for how long should I be on the treadmill, etc. are also welcome!
Thanks!! :)

Is 90 minutes a day on a recumbent bike ideal for weight loss?

I have worked my way up to three sets of 30 minutes a day on my stationary recumbent bike. I need some motivation! Tell me the pounds are going to start melting off :)
Answer
That is great! You can do it, just keep it up. Even if the weight isn't sliding off as fast as you would like (it never seems to for me) just remember that your body is loving the exercise!
