Lynsea .
I am considering a piece of equipment for my home. I've used all three at some point over the years, but it's been awhile. I can't really decide which piece to get as they all have their good and bad points. I'm looking for some extra input to help me make this decision. And if anyone has a particular brand/model to recommend, I'd love to hear that as well. I don't need anything too fancy, but I want enough features so that there is a variety... such as tension control. I would like to know distance, time spent, calories burned, etc. Don't need any of the music inputs, although I wouldn't scratch one off the list if it had that. I want something that is durable and long lasting as it will be used every day, by at least myself and probably one other person a couple of times a week. I've been leaning toward an eliptical, but I know the least about them. I'm looking for a good solid cardio workout. I'm bored with the videos and am ready for something else to keep me motivated and change things up a bit. Thanks for any input you can offer.
Answer
i like a recumbent bike that has programmed terrain.
that way the tension automatically adjust so that it's like you are riding uphill at times.
i like the ones at sears just as well as at the sporting goods stores.
the proform models are cheaper that the nordic track and diamondback models
sitting on the proform models is more comfortable to me.
i've used recumbent exercise bikes at the gym and it is the most fun of the cardio equipment to me and something i enjoy is something i will stick with.
