Hey, Widowmaker, don't take this as a wisecrack, but you need to get out from behind that computer, leave the house, and do a little exploring of your home area, if you're capable that is. I mean, it would be hard to do if you're handicapped, or something similar. Computers, cellphones, and stuff like that weren't around when I was a kid, but we had bicycles, and we'd ride them for hours on end, travelling all of the backroads all over Lake County, Indiana. Pull up a google satellite map of your locale, spend some time researching the different roads that lead to parks with ponds, but for private property, you'll have to go ask the owner's permission to fish his/her waters, and if they let you use their property, make sure you don't trash it up, or go there when they are not around, so get on a bike, have some fun, get some exercise. It will be challenging, but if you are sincere, and determined, you'll find a way to make it all work out for you.

How to lose weight for teens?

o.O B
Is there a way to lose weight without dieting? For teens? I don't think I should diet, but I have cut down on sugars and fats. I'm not too fat, but im not as skinny as i wish. I want to have a flatter stomach, skinnier arms, and skinner thighs. Please help. And if it helps I'm 13 soon to be 14.
Answer
I'm also a teenager so I hope I can help you.
The first step is to eat right.
It's good for teenagers to eat healthier so that when they become adults they have the habits down and are healthier. Eating well is good for your hair and your skin- and not to mention that when I ate healthier I noticed my cuts and bruises healed very quickly. You feel better when you eat well and you will look better too- so why not?
Don't skip out on eating- you'll feel terrible and your metabolism will slow down so that the weight may come back or be harder to lose. Also, if you skip out on eating you can develop anorexia and anorexia is so hard to cure and you'll have the mindset that food is bad and you'll feel guilty about eating.
For eating well you should eat plenty of vegetables. It sounds kind of gross right? But it doesn't have to be! You can steam vegetables and they will be delicious. I like salads with fat free dressing (fat free dressing doesn't have as many calories- just don't go overboard on the dressing!!) and you can always look online for good recipes for vegetables. I'm sure that there will be something you like that is also healthy for you. Vegetables don't have many calories and contain a lot of vitamins, which is pretty nice. Don't forget the other food groups either. Just be careful of meat- you want to eat lean meat. Meat with loads of fat in it isn't going to help you.
Exercise is second.
If you don't like running, go on bike rides. That's what I do. Check your area (Google Maps might help too) for bike trails. Be careful when biking though because you don't want to get hurt. Listening to music on an ipod is fun to do when biking. Make a playlist of songs you want to listen to before you go. You can always walk with a friend too.
You say that you want to have a flatter stomach, skinnier arms, and skinnier thighs. Try Pilates! I actually found a website not very long ago that really can be helpful when trying to live a healthier lifestyle or lose weight and it's http://www.livestrong.com/
It has a calorie tracker and everything, it's really great and I strongly recommend using it.
Be sure to burn off the calories you gain everyday and really work at it. Never give up, it may take a while to lose the weight. I remember hearing a teacher I used to have who is really into sports saying that it may even take three weeks for a body to change and how people give up after a week. Ask your family for help- they can really help keeping you on focus and buying foods that will help.
I hope I helped!!
